Take Care of Yourself

Prioritize your health and happiness. Think about it. How sad it would be if you willfully neglected your mind, body and soul. Imagine how bitter that would leave those who have been invested in you all this time. After all, your well-wishers have front row seats to your performance. Any deterioration could make them reevaluate their own lives and set them up for an unhealthy outlook.

The fact is neglecting yourself is one sure way of stealing joy from those closest to you. One way to prevent this is honest communication. Those who care about you most would be more than happy to listen and share advice. Don’t struggle with troubles alone. It isn’t healthy. Talk. Discussing concerns is a most effective way of relieving concerns. Furthermore, if you have some physical ailment that you know is taxing and dangerous, don’t pretend you’re the doctor. Talk with your providers. Exchange ideas, listen and utilize good and well-intentioned advice. Secure an equal partnership with your provider in utilizing proven methods with minimal drawback. When you show that you’re invested in your well-being those providers will be more interested in effecting a positive outcome for you.

In the end, whether cognizant of it or not, the fact is you do have a modicum of support. Friends, family, providers, colleagues. All these persons probably have one or more of their five senses functioning. They can see you, they can hear you, they can talk with you. You can lean on them, and they can lift your spirits. They can nourish you. Let them work their magic. You might soon feel a noticeable improvement in your condition. Your interactions with people would become more meaningful, your spirit revitalized.
